Wetland Class Trip



Thanks to our amazing parent help offers, we had a great time with Russell Langdon and Peter Howden learning about interconnectedness in a wetland.

    Number 1. The MATAI tree.
    Number 2. The MUD FISH.
    Number 3. This weka is specile because it is a BLUFF WEKA.

    Number 1: Matai. Number 2: 5 common bully and 1 mudfish. Number 3: they were extinct from Canterbury and back when the maoris were hunting in the wetlands they used the weka for food and 12 were brought to the Chathams. Number :4 kakariki. Lachie E.

    What a great field trip it was. I realy enjoyed it. Thank you to Chloe, Thornton, Lachie and Millie for the fabulous thank you cards. Some great drawings and fantastic writing. You were a great group to take.I look forward to the next Winterslow field trip. Pippa Pavey
