Beyond the Edge

Great news! Thanks to Ricky we have raised enough money to go to the movies on Tuesday 17th at 10:30.
The movie is a documentary style about Sir Ed Hillary conquering Everest and has a lot of actual footage. I think we have room for two more in the theatre so first in first served.

Thanks to the great bunch of blokes that came and made blokes day such fun. Cant wait to see some of Ricky's photos.

Let us know what you enjoyed.

Rice Balls

This weekend I tried Lear's rice ball recipe. My first attempt did not work because I didn't cook the rice properly but I didn't cry for long. I went back to the shop and tried again. They were fantastic, and if I can make them, anybody can. I found if you kept the spoon you use to spread rice, on the gladwrap in hot water, the rice did not stick to it. Here are some photos.
Rice was $3ish made 16
Tuna was $3ish made 8
All other ingredients $1 for 16

Movie Money

We are hoping to raise some money to go to the movies on the 17 December. The plan at this stage is to sell healthy lunches on the 11 December at Blokes day. Students have been researching healthy recipes that may work. This has proved harder than first thought. Our ideas have been narrowed down to; sushi, rice balls, cheese rolls. these involve minimal cooking on the day. Some students are going to practise at home to find out how much ingredients we need and how many we can make. This homework is not compulsory. Only if it is convenient please.

Bow and Arrows

This week we have been using our bow and arrows to measure in meters and collect the data. We then could use the data to find the best arrow for shooting distance. Weight and length of arrow were key factors. Then we had some competition in class where accuracy was needed. The students showed some great skill at making stone arrow heads and paper flights. All the theory was put to the test in the Hunger Games Competition.
